I am honored every day to be a part of this warm and welcoming community that encourages personal, academic, and professional growth. AOII has given me so many wonderful things, but one that I’m most thankful for is the opportunity to form lasting bonds with members who inspire me to become the best version of myself. At AOII, our mission is to promote lifelong friendship, inspire academic excellence, to lead by example, and to serve our campus and surrounding communities. They are not only my closest confidants and dearest friends they are also an endless source of inspiration and empowerment. Alpha Omicron Pi was founded on a promise to encourage a spirit of fraternity and love among its members to stand at all times for character, dignity. I have met incredible members who are supportive, lively, and dynamic. Joining AOII has been a life-changing experience. They carry out our founders’ legacies with warmth and grace. I can see the same ambition that existed back then in the spirit of our many members. Alpha Omicron Pi Foundation was established in 1977 as a nonprofit organization to support various philanthropies of the fraternity. Our founders pledged themselves to each other here at Columbia over 120 years ago, a special bond that the members of Alpha treasure every day. Alpha Omicron Pi strives to inspire ambition in all of our members within the chapter and throughout campus through our values of character, dignity. At its core, AOII devotes itself to loyalty, sincerity, kindness, and love. Alpha Chapter prides itself on continuing to uphold these values through our passionate commitment to acceptance of diversity, desire for lifelong friendship, and love for service. On January 2, 1897, our four founders-Stella, Bess, Jessie, and Helen-met in Columbia’s very own Low Library to establish a fraternity whose values mirrored their own. Stella, Jess, Helen, and Bess became determined that their friendship should last a lifetime. ![]()
